The end result is a multi size laser etched tile installation.

After extensive R&D into both Melbourne gardens and Melbourne city architecture it was decided that a natural theme for this large format installation was the way to go.
Various stylised illustrations of local flora and insects were developed and laid up on a custom ply tile solution which was developed in-house.

A multi sized tile configuration was developed to get
the best result from the technique and space available.

Due to output constraints with the laser etch machine, a multi sized tile configuration was developed to get the best from the technique and space available.

Once the multi size tile layout was worked out to fit the unusual wall and return configuration, the layout for the illustration was worked out and applied.
The end result is a multi size laser etched tile illustration which was then affixed to the elevator wall at the amazing Swanston and LaTrobe Street entrance designed by ARM Architects.
